The weather was great for training outdoors today, mid 80′s and sunny. So I decided to head down to the local track and get some conditioning work in.
Warm Up: Walked 1/2 mile, Jogged 1/2 mile, 10 minute dynamic warm up consisting of jumping jacks, seal jacks, walking lunges, frankenstein walks, gate swings, and skips.
Workout: 100-yard wind sprints (70% effort). Walk back to start for recovery and repeat x 5.
Football One-Man Blocking Sled Push: 40-yards x 5 sets. 1 minute recovery between sets. This was TOUGH!
Overall this was a short but great workout and I can’t wait to do it again. Next time I might add some sled drags and tire throws.
