Training Journal – 8/23/11

Since I’ve been trying to drop body fat lately I’ve been getting outdoors as much as possible for different types of cardio sessions and today I did one of my old time favorites.

The workout: Hill Sprints+

Warm Up:  1/2 mile walk, 1/2 mile jog, 10 min dynamic warm up consisting of jumping jacks, seal jacks, bodyweight squats, walking lunges, frankenstein walks, push ups, pogo hops, and leg swings.

 

Workout:

10 forward hill sprints, walk down for recovery.

5 uphill side shuffles each direction (left & right) , walk down for recovery.

Backpedal sprint – 100 yards flat.

Cool Down: 1/2 mile jog, light stretching.

*The hill I used is about 50 yards in length.
